how's that for the perfect stereotype. i can tell you, from living in Lugano for years and from visiting all regions (there're actually four), that these culturally homogeneous images you conjure up are not at all correct. while i agree with the existence of a certain type of Swiss mentality, you are misrepresenting and pigeonholing the diversity of the nation. the southeast is especially not as you describe it. and yes, i am pedantic.

E dove l'hai sentito?? È completamente falso. Studia la distribuzione delle lingue. Ci sono i grafici su WIKI. In Ticino da Chiasso fino ad Airolo e andando oltre fino all'ultimo paese della val Bedretto, si parla sempre l'italiano.

e perché il governo italiano dovrebbe fare ciò? Cosa c'entra il governo italiano con la Svizzera? Inoltre mai sentito che la lingua italiana in Ticino stia scomparendo. Addirittura il dialetto Ticinese é duro a morire, immagina l'italiano.
