Keith, born and raised in Mississippi studied music at North Texas State University for four years. Keith played professionally in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area for several years after leaving school. Now residing in New York City, Keith has been recording, touring, and performing with various artists:Sting, Steely Dan, Wayne Krantz ,Grover Washington, Jr., Harry Belafonte, David Johansen and the Harry Smiths (New York Dolls, Buster Poindexter), Paula Abdul - Virgin recording artist, The Blues Brothers - (the original movie band), Heads Up Superband featuring Joe McBride, Gerald Veasley, and Kenny Blake, Will Lee - (bass legend , Late Nite with David Letterman), Richard Bona (Zawinal Syndicate, solo artist), Andy Timmons Band - Sony (Japan) recording artist, Michael English - Curb recording artist, Pamela Williams - Heads Up recording artist, Tim Miner - Motown recording artist, Bernard Wright (Marcus Miller, Miles Davis, Jamaica Boys), Leni Stern, Donald Fagen (Steely Dan), Lou Marini (Blues Bros.,Saturday Nite Live), Jimi Tunnell (Steps Ahead), The Drifters & The Cherelles, Adam Holzman (Miles Davis), Peter Noone (Hermans Hermits), Bette Midler, Rhett Tyler, David BinneyKeith recorded with Steely Dan in November '97 for their first studio release in 20 years! Keith plays on "Two Against Nature." "Two Against Nature" won 4 grammys including "2001 Album of the Year." Keith has recently been working with Becker and Fagen for another Steely Dan record to be released sometime in 2003.......Keith recorded a taping of Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz NPR radio show with Becker and Fagen. It should air February 2003.Another exciting project has been working with David Johansen and the Harry Smiths. Keith is doing live dates with David and the group in Europe and the US. Also, a new release on the Chesky record label entitled "Shaker."Keith has been playing live dates with Leni Stern.......also recorded on her latest record "Finally the Rain has Come".....along with many special guests!The most recent record dates for Keith have been with Steely Dan, Leni Stern, Jane Getter, David Johansen, Rhett Tyler, and Freddie Cole.Keith recorded a live record in March of '98 with the Heads Up Superband featuring Keith along with Gerald Veasley, Joe McBride, and Kenny Blake.Keith took has been playing drums with the original Blues Brothers Band since early '98. They have done many festivals and large concert halls all over the world in support of Blues Brothers 2000 motion picture. This band features Eddie Floyd, Tommy McDonnell, Steve Cropper, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Lou "Blue Lou" Marini, Alan Rubin, Birch Johnson, and Leon Pendarvis. What A Band!!! Keith also plays with the Nuff Brothers Band in NYC from time to time......it is some of the Blues Brothers incognito.Keith is doing live dates with the legendary singer / actor Harry Belafonte.Keith toured with Grover Washington, Jr. in the fall of '98. They headlined at the infamous Blue Note in NYC and many theatres across the US.2004 he toured with Sting.Tours followed with Steely Dan, James Taylor and Rudder (2007)Keith endorses Yamaha drums, Zildjian cymbals, Remo heads, and Regal Tip sticks.

Young drummers often don't yet have an appreciation for feel, dynamics or individualism. They're often awed by big drumkits, loud, rapid fire triplets and double bass drumming.Keith is amazing.
