At 75 years old, still one of the best musicians on the planet! We miss you Joe...

Notice how Joe is really enjoying that groove when Linly hits those harmonic around 2.30. Just sick, thats all I can say.

Wow! Joe could always swing with the best of 'em and this performance of Madagascar is no exception. What a mighty theme. Incredible stuff.

Right on man!Really HEARING is as much a discipline-art as performing, both must be done from the heart, from your whole being. JZ's genius of musical alchemy always reminds me that music I think I know well can always surprise me and appear as if just created with new and higher levels of order and meaning, I keep hearing new things in all JZ's work, from Canonball to WR and especially the later Syndicate bands that just floor me and I listen in awe-for instance his solo around 3.20 in clip 2!*!

What he conveys in my own opinion is music as a reflection of life, strong but fluid

Madagascar, original WR night passage complex tuneThis song hooked me to Joe's music Listened to this over and over again trying to understand what he was atemting to convey You can't get it by casually listening. That's why his fan base isn't mainstream
