I love this piece and I'm trying to get my director to get it for my final concert. I'm a French Horn :)

this sounds a lot like his other song, The Witch and the Saint. The sax solo towards the beginning sounds a LOT like a theme the clarinets have in The witch and the saint. I play oboe in Witch and the Saint, and the oboe solo theme from that song is repeated a lot in this. At 1:41, it sounds exactly the same. I love Steven Reineke :)

Oh and that last bit was a joke, don't rage on me, I am totally aware of the musical structure and how all the instruments compliment each other

@inuyasha2408 That always works for me too, although in this case I use Skyrim, and I play Timpani, so when I strike the drum at FFF like at 7:39, I picture my character getting killed and the dragon is laughing at me, so I play louder and with more dynamics cause I'm mad. And it works! And I think that this song wouldn't even be a song without the percussion!

My concert band as a whole was having trouble getting into the music (somehow) so our teacher told us to find an emotional attachment to the song, so I thought of the Legend of Zelda while listening to this with Link fighting the dragon. Totally worked! xD

@annabel2400 i agree. yes the french horns are awesome, but everyone looks over other parts which are just as awesome.
