Solothurn 20mm anti-tank rifle

Some friends owned a Solothurn 20mm anti-tank rifle, and brought it along to one of our "blow stuff up" days. The trigger is so heavy, you need to use two fingers to press it. I thought my 50 cal was big, but this one is 7 feet long, weighs over 100 pounds, and kicks like a mule on steroids. For those who are curious, 20mm is legal in most states but heavily regulated by the feds. It is considered a "destructive device" and has to be transferred through a very time-consuming process that involves your local sheriff, the BATF, and who knows what other 3-letter agencies in DC. You can usually find 20mm ammo at a gun show, but the only practical way to shoot 20mm is to load your own ammo.

@Guesswork01 "we only beat England because France was kicking their ass at the same time." It seems to me that if you have friends (Which someone who goes around disrespecting others without a cause wouldn't, of course.) they will quickly come to your aid no matter how well you are armed. Tienanmen square, guy standing in front of a tank, much more of that and the world would had "Words" with China. Revolutions are like that, once the world knows you have a cause worth dying for they help.

@partsproduction Actually, I've agreed with you the whole time. I just didn't like your tone so I decided to troll you, dumbass. Also, we only beat England because France was kicking their ass at the same time.

@Guesswork01 No two revolutions are the same, but almost all of them start small with a few under armed patriots who are willing to die for their cause. If you had an open mind you could see that. Our own revolution is a good example, and until almost the last few weeks of the war few people thought we could overthrow Mighty England. What kind of persons calls a total stranger a name like that? Seems to be a youtube thing, people are rude and crude when it's not face to face. Respect others.

@partsproduction The Vietcong threw a foreign army out of their country after 15 years because the US people got sick of funding a war half a world away. So, yeah, your analogy kind of breaks down when you're talking about a government repressing its OWN people on its OWN territory. Usually, domestic revolts fail, and if they don't, it's because they use the media and support of foreign powers to pressure their government into submission. And it's spelled "commies," dumbass.

@Guesswork01 Ask the Vietnamese if people with antique small caliber rifles can start a revolution to remove a space age world class military force from their country. Your comment shows that you don't understand the nature of guerrilla warfare. I'm not praising the commy's, but they were DETERMINED to eject the strongest military on earth from their country and the did it, and it started with a bunch of turn of the century relic rifles.

"General_Atomics_MQ-1_Predator"How about you attack this with a knife. In fact, you go first, I'll watch.

@Guesswork01 Yeah, ok, Killer Space Robots, gotchya. Looks like someones watching too much Anime. Listen, even with a KNIFE you can get a hold of some guns. And with some guns to arm some people, you can take over a building, facility, then take over the tanks or planes or whatever. WE are the military. WE are the arm. WE are the government. Besides, there are plenty of people in the military who dont want to kill their family and who are on our side. You do not have a valid point. Dont be weak

@mrjustin5 US citizen here. I am a gun owner and I support my right to defend myself against criminals and murderers. However, regarding the 2nd amendment as a "reset button" on governmental tyrrany, need I remind you that the US army has remote-control flying killer space robots with laser guided missiles? You really think a 20mm rifle is going to do shit against them if push comes to shove?

@1mile50 It was not only Hitler.Right after ww1 the illegal"Black Reichswehr"murdered many for owning guns. They made up black lists, took the persons from home and "shot them while attempting to flee". This was legal as long as the unarmed victim was shot in the back. In one case someone refused to turn around and was shot from the front, causing some trouble.See the book "Vier Jahre politischer Mord". I uploaded it together with some english books on Wuala, link is in the descriptions of my films
