If I don't take a sapphire crystal first, I like to take shield because of the less mana usage, and because it still does damage even though it's a shield, plus, it's a shield :P That's just me though.

In my opinion, ap sion is pretty op early game. Past level 3 or so, you can't really be harassed from ranged, and one stun/shield combo forces the other team to either play defensive or give up a free kill on the next combo. I bought him after being destroyed by an ap sion in mid while I was trying out ryze when he was free a while back, and I got fed for the first 3 games i ever played with him.

no probs, but the new meta is to send sion mid, get 2-3 doran ring then rush a deathcap. but the behavior is still the same :) |
