lol you should think of founding a fan club :-) No, he's got a great voice, indeed. I like his soli but I truly love the way the vocals seem to linger in the air when he is singing a voce basso.

I sat next to Fr. Jean-Marie in the Brussel underground :D it was so good, he's an awesome musician.Hope he' s well again, was ill when I was there a few weeks ago...love the singing of the asian brother. Of all brothers though.God save Taizé :)

The brother at 1:10, he has an amazing voice! I went to Taizé a couple of weeks ago, for a week, and my first time in the church, I was sitting close to him.. Wow, it was so nice to listen to him singing! So peaceful and soulful! Thanks for sharing this video.

Frere Jean-Marie is a brother of the Taize community. Originally from Rhode Island he joined the community in the early 1980's. I spent two years in Taize living as a volunteer back in the 1980's and got to know Frere Jean-Marie very well. |
