Solothurn, Switzerland -- Time lapse (Nikon D7000)



Timelapse outside the SBB (train station) in Solothurn, Switzerland on a raining evening -- 9:00pm. I couldn't pass up capturing all the wonderful reflections.The large raw images were worked on in Adobe camera raw, editing the first image in the sequence and applying the settings to the remaining images. To slow the pace down a bit I had to show each image for 3 frames (instead of one) in the video.What would I do differently? I'd shorten the exposure slightly to still capture motion blur but allow the interval between photos to be shortened and also freeze the images of people not walking, adding more contrast with the movement.-------------Nikon D7000 (built-in intervelometer)Nikon 18-200mm VRI lensexposure: 0.8s at f/8Computer: 15" MacBook ProSoftware: Adobe CS4Music: SmartSound.com (Sonicfire Pro)800 total .NEF (.DNG) files edited in Adobe camera RAW; processed as .jpg (Adobe Bridge) and imported into Adobe Premiere w/music (1080p, 24fps). Encoded at 720p for YouTube upload.

Based on the image metadata, it was around 25 min. in the first camera position and 10 min. in the second camera position. Not sure exactly how much of the final footage was used -- the majority of it. 800 total images.
